The Wolf Lodge Water Slide

Beep. Beep. Beep. “Oh no,” I said. I knew what was coming.
I looked behind me. I knew I couldn’t get out in time. I
looked back, and splash!

My eyes hurt. I yelled “Oh no not again.” Splash, cough,
cough!  I ran out of the wave pool as fast as I could,
to get out of the wave pool before  another wave hit me.
But before I could get out, splash! I was hit again with
another wave.

“I think I swallowed water, cough cough cough, man this
stinks!”

Finally I said to myself: “I'm finally out . . .” I was soaked
from my toes to my head.

“Max, do you want to go on the big water slide?”

“No thanks, it's way too high but I will think about it,” I
said.

“Okay,” Lauren said. I looked back at the big waterslide
and I thought to myself: “Then again that looks pretty
cool.” So I turned back to Lauren and then yelled, “Wait!
I'm going on the big water slide too.” So there was no
turning back now, we walked up the big wet ginormous
steps and we were finally at the top!

Everyone on the first floor looked like ants compared to
us. I almost slipped on the second flight of stairs --- man
I would have hit my head hard. When I was at the head of
the line I couldn't believe it.

“Man,” I thought to myself, “I'm going to die!”

I did not die, but I was petrified.

Lauren asked, “How'd you like it? You want to go on again?”
I thought it was pretty fun, but that thing was way too
scary for me!

I know it would go on this water slide again. And I'm not
going to die and I will never be scared of it again. But I'm
not going on it right now . . . because I was petrified.
