        Holbox, Mexico

I step off of the ferry and smell the air. It smells like a tropical rain forest. I look at all
the golf carts passing by. I hear all the crickets chirping. I see all the colorful lights
glowing in the dark. I love my vacation in Holbox, Mexico because of the resort, the
beaches and the restaurants.

I love my vacation in Holbox, Mexico because of our resort. The resort has a great pool
because it has a bridge over it. When we swim there, we go under the bridge. Another
great thing about the resort is there is a hammock on the deck of our villa. When I’m
there, I read my book and listen to the ocean. Finally, sometimes we can order room
service at our villa. I love it when we order shrimp to cool us off.

I love my vacation in Holbox, Mexico because of the beaches. I love the beaches because
there is a drink bar.  At the drink bar we order some drinks to cool us off. My siblings
and I get a drink called conga, there is pineapple juice, orange juice and grenadine.  After
we cool off, we go to explore the beach. When we are walking, we see hammocks in the
water. Also, we see swings in the in the water. We go over to the swings and the
hammocks. The hammocks and swings swing high. Then, we go back to all of our beach
gear and pack up our beach bags and walk back to our resort.

I love my vacation in Holbox, Mexico because of the restaurants. I love the restaurants
because in the morning at our resort we go to the breakfast bar. We order some delicious food.
Some of the food they make is chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and sausage. We also love the
restaurants because at one of the restaurants there are swings instead of chairs. At the
restaurant, we sit on the swings and once there was a family next to us. The girl  looked about
my age and her name is Lia. We start talking and then we ask our parents if we could eat dinner
with each other. Both of our parents agreed. Lia tells me that she is from London. I also love
the restaurants because at one restaurant there are lots of fun activities. At the restaurant,
there is a trampoline and a slackline. When we get to the restaurant, my siblings and I ask my
parents if we could go play on the trampoline and slackline. As our parents order pizza for us,
we run like cheetahs and jump onto the trampoline.

As we pack up our bags I feel tears roll down my cheeks. I smell the tropical rain forest one
last time. We step on the ferry and I hear the waves crashing against the boat. I am going to
miss you Holbox, Mexico I say to myself as we move away from the dock. I love
Holbox, Mexico because of our resort, the beaches and the restaurants.
