Making a New Friend

It was New Years, the day we have to think about
what our resolution is. My mom asked me what my
resolution was I said “to make a new friend.”

“That is so nice” my mom said. She asked my whole
family what their resolutions were they said what their  
resolutions were, while I was still thinking if I really
was going to make a new friend. I asked my mom if
she thinks I will make a new friend, and she said “ Of
course you will why?” “Do you think your going to
make a new friend”?

“I don’t know maybe, because I was really worrying if I
was going to make a new friend or not¨.

¨ You will, I know it”.

“ Thanks mom”.

“ Your welcome”.  Then my mom said “ go get in bed
I’ll be there to tuck you in ok”?

“ Ok”. As I went upstairs, to go get in bed, I thought  
about asking my Magic eight ball, if I was going to
make a new friend. I asked it,and it said yes I was so
happy, then I got in bed. My mom came up to tuck me
in my bed. Then  kissed me good night, I felt so much
better, and really trusted my eight ball , I trusted my
mom as well, but I knew my magic eight ball was a
fortune teller and my mom wasn't. Then I went to bed
and woke up the next day and totally forgot about
worrying about making a new friend.

A couple months later, I met some girl named Brooke,
we met at recess and she was new.  She was sitting
on the buddy bench. She looked really sad.

I asked her if she wanted to play with me, I said

¨Hey your name is Brooke right¨?

¨ ya¨, she said.

People are talking about you since you are new¨.

¨ Oh they are¨ ?

¨ Ya,  you looked sad so I was wondering if you want
to play with me¨?

 ¨ Sure thanks¨.

¨Your welcome¨.

Then we started to play with each other more and
more day after day. Then  we became really good
friends. She was really nice and had a lot in common
with me. We talked at recess, and we played a lot at
recess she taught me how to make a friendship
bracelet.  She always gave me a Kit Kat every day, she
is now my new best friend. I sit with her every day and
play with her at recess. I thought about my New Years
resolution, and super grateful that I made a new
friend and I made that resolution. She is kind and a
really good friend.
