Introduction Paragraph: I believe that everyone should be free, including
kids. This is why I have come to realize that kids should have more of a voice and choice of how they spend their time. If kids had more of a voice and choice, they would be happier, they wouldn’t be as hyper, and kids don’t like being told what to do! |
Body Paragraph 1 (reason 1): Kids should choose how their time is spent
because they would enjoy lots of things. For example, they could do babysitting and get money and do things that they want to do with it. Me and my sister like to do things like tag during summer vacation, except we have sports that we are forced to do. For example, my karate, which is about an hour long. Another thing kids like to do is go on screens, which parents usually say NO~NO to. My parents put a limit on my screens, and lots of other parents put limits on their child’s screens too. Kids should use their time to do the things that they enjoy. |
Body Paragraph 2 (reason 2): Kids should have a choice of how their time
is used because school takes out about six and a half hours of a child’s day. Lots of kids, like my sister Kaitlyn, don’t like going to school. They think it should be shorter. On an article called Teenink, I found a page about how school makes kids get under pressure, and as they go into middle and high school, they skip classes. On the website, one of their lines was, “Long school hours put pressure on students.” and another article called, SHORTER SCHOOL DAYS said, “ School starts way to early, ends way to late, and happens way too often.” It also talked about how lots of kids, wait, let me correct that, all kids complain about school. Skipping classes is one way to tell adults that we hate school. That happens as we get older and feel trapped in school and start getting nervous or bored, grades go down, and we don’t get as intelligent and then kids get in trouble. Kids, even high schoolers, like using their time for how they like to. |
Paragraph 3 (reason 3): Us kids should have freedom to choose what we
do since lots of children do not like being told what to do. When Kaitlyn got grounded for the first time, she said to me; “I wish nobody would tell me what to do!” And she just glared at my parents for the three days she was grounded, and she made squeaky noises that were so annoying that my parents yelled,“STOP!”, at her. Another day, while my sister and I were having a good day, my brother was repeating, “T.V.?” Over and over again my parents said, “ No!” And then, he started crying and my parents didn’t try to calm him; they yelled at him to shush and go to his room. The freedom of not being told what to do is amazing for everyone, especially if you are spending the first half of your life with people saying, “
Do this!” and, “Do that!”
|
Conclusion: Maybe you now realize how kids need to have more of a voice
and choice of how they spend time. Kids would be happier, school would probably be shorter, and kids don’t like being told what to do! Many people like to have children joyful and not miserable since they are the future of the world. Kids were the geniuses we know today, and kids will set the world on fire! |
