Styles
In this chapter you will learn about styles and how to decorate with a
specific style.
specific style.
Well, first things first. Okay. Some of the styles are Modern, Which has
sleek lines and has lots of bold colors.Traditional, which is a personal
favorite of mine, It has a lot of detail like moldings and tile work and warm
colors. Rustic which there are many different uses of rustic but the basics
are exposed wood beams [ well technically anything wood!] Bohemian
which is kind of free spirited. Okay now that we've got to the basics we’ll
really get into it. So first we’ll talk about how to decorate with modern for
an example let's use a dining room. First for the table you should get
something sharp but makes a statement. For any piece you should use
bold colors like dark brown for tables and black for anything except for
couches because then you would have a coal couch! White for walls
[technically anything] and gold.
You should add a mirror too your room because it will reflect sunlight so
you room will be brighter and it will make your room look and feel bigger.
Okay moving on to rustic! First for the couch I suggest any couch that's
leather, specifically brown or any type of beige, white or obviously brown.

For tables I would use a reclaimed wood top with black or ivory legs. For side
tables technically the same thing but smaller. And if you wanted to you could add
a table or chest behind the couch I would make the table look like a chest and
make the chest look like a table and use the same black or ivory legs.
