you go to St. John. St. John is one of the most calming and relaxing
vacations ever! St. John is located in the Caribbean near the bigger island,
St. Thomas. It is warm all year long- especially in the summer and spring.
St. John is the best vacation spot in the world!
One reason St. John is the best vacation spot in the world is because so
many cute and friendly animals live there. For example, donkeys, crabs,
fish, geckos, iguanas, stingrays, and sharks all live in the comfy corners
of St. John. Some you can find in the forest or on hikes and some you can
find on the beaches, your backyard or pool, and even on the roads! The
animals are very friendly. In fact, donkeys come right up to your car!
Usually people have their windows down because of the heat, so the
donkeys can just stick their heads in your car! You can pet them on their
heads. Their faces almost look like they are smiling at you! Iguanas are
found on the beaches and sometimes on your patio by your pool. On the
beaches, you won’t believe how close they get to you. They like to show
off their style by wiggling around their body like a fashion model. The
animals in St. John are cute unique, and incredible, so if you or your
family member/s like/s animals, then St. John is the place to visit.

Another reason St. John is the best family vacation spot in the world is
that there are so many amazing foods native to the island. For instance,
they make Pina Coladas from the the coconuts that grow on the palm
trees. Most of the palm trees are found on the beaches but many are
along the streets too. One of my favorite drinks they make are the
strawberry- banana smoothies. I love the delicious blend of strawberries
and bananas that melt in your mouth- and sometimes give you a brain
freeze. They have lots of seafood that they get from fishing in the ocean.
Specifically fish, crabs, clams and much more. If you like casual
restaurants, then go to the Banana Deck. The Banana Deck will make
you feel at home with the breezy outdoor environment. The “deck” is very
high so you have a amazing view of the ocean. Here’s a cool fact: almost all of
the islands restaurants are outside! One of the restaurants: High Tide, is actually
on the beach! Can you believe that! If your kids want to go splash around on the
beach, you can still watch them while you relax! At some restaurants, animals
may visit you. Geckos or birds might come to say, “Hello!”. If you absolutely love
smoothies, and absolutely love animals, I insist you go to Columbo’s. Columbo’s
is a smoothie shack up on a small hill that you drive up. In addition to it being a
smoothie place, it is also a shop. They have unique items like wind chimes and
wood sculptures. But they also have some other unique things too! My family has
bought a couple. One year we got two turtle wood sculptures, and another year
we got a bunch of metal geckos and fish. Another year we got turtles with bobble
heads. If you tapped it’s head with your finger, it would start bobbling. If you like
fancy restaurants, then go to Morgan’s Mango. Morgan’s Mango is the perfect
place to wear any fancy clothing or jewelry that you may have brought with you or
bought at the local markets. Morgan’s Mango is a very nice and calming place to
have dinner because you get to watch a one-of-a-kind sunset every single night.
There are barely any buildings so there is nothing blocking the way. It is
absolutely incredible. Most of the restaurants you can walk to from your home.
There is no need for the rental car unless you don’t like the mosquitoes! St. John
at night is so calming. There are no noises other than the voices of people near
you and the faint sound of water crashing on the sand. If you are looking to try
amazing foods, then I insist you go to St. John.

Another reason St. John is the best family vacation spot in the world is because
of the beaches. They are the best beaches in the whole entire world and the
water is as clear as glass so you can see the bottom perfectly when you are
swimming. The water is bright turquoise and glimmers in the sunlight. My
favorite- and my families- beach in the whole entire world is Trunk Bay. Trunk Bay
is absolutely gorgeous and has the softest sand in the universe. One reason it is
my family’s favorite beach is because there is an underwater snorkeling trail. You
are supposed to follow the buoys and swim under them. The trail takes you
around a mini island right in the middle of the beach. If you follow the outside of
the island, there are some spots where you can stand! It is super sandy, and still
a little deep, but most people can stand. So if you get tired and need a little break,
go right over to one of the spots. But watch where you step because sea urchins
sometimes settle in to the sand or on the small rocks. Along the trail there are
underwater signs that show you what cool fish or plants live nearby. It is so cool
because they are usually covered with algae so my dad goes down and has to
brush them off. It feels as if you have found a sunken ship. As you do that,
thousands of sea creatures swim around you. Some are big and some are small.
Some are weird and ugly, but some are beautiful. Every single fish is unique in
some way; that’s what’s so amazing about them. Crabs fill the ocean floor along
with poisonous sea urchins. Even if you don’t like going in the deep parts of the
ocean, you can still find fish by the shallow parts of the beach. Once I was there,
and a group of fish called polimitas swam right over to me and started nipping all
over me. They were very friendly and absolutely, positively harmless. They were
yellow and white. Some of them were giant and some were babies. As soon as I
saw them, I ran up the sand to get my snorkel gear, put it on, and sprinted back
into the water. It caught me by surprise that they came so close! Usually fish are
very cautious, but they came right over to me and even rubbed against my feet!
They tickled!!! When I went underwater, I really noticed how beautiful they were.
With every flick of their tail, the sun shine from above displayed their beauty like a
spotlight. I love ocean life and I want to be a marine scientist when I grow up. I
like to take care of and study animals. I believe that animals should always be
treated like people because they are living beings too. Animals are so interesting
and scientists have been finding more and more species of ocean and water
creatures every year. St. John has extraordinary animals and creatures. The
beaches in St. John are home to all of these animals and creatures, so we need
to take great care of and respect those beaches. St. John has the most relaxing
beaches in the world, so if you like to relax in a sand made chair underneath a
palm tree(if you sit in the sand it forms the shape of your body, or you can just
carve it out yourself), hang out with animals all day, and splash around in the
water way past the time when your fingers start shriveling up, then St. John is the
perfect destination.

I realize that you might be planning to go somewhere else, but I promise you that
if you go to St. John, you will never regret it because St. John has the friendliest
animals in the world, the best food in the world, and the best beaches in the
world. I love everything about it and I know you and your family will too because
